Hanna Hurkot

Conductor

Born in 1997 in Wrocław, she is an outstanding conductor and pianist who has been involved in music from an early age. She began her education at the Karol Szymanowski General Music School, where she began learning to play the piano. From childhood, she was passionate about chamber music, and for 10 years she performed in a piano duet and an eight-hand quartet, which shaped her love for large sound and symphonic music.

In 2021, she completed her master's degree at the IJ Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań in the field of symphonic and opera conducting. She has collaborated with renowned ensembles such as the Athens Philharmonia Orchestra, Oradea Philharmonic Orchestra and the Opole Philharmonic, where she implemented the "Conductor - Resident" program. Her artistic activity also includes conducting courses led by renowned teachers.

Hanna Hurkot has reached the semi-finals of international conducting competitions and is the winner of numerous awards and scholarships, including the Scholarship of the President of Wrocław. Her repertoire includes works from classicism to contemporary, and she has a special fondness for Polish composers.

In addition to her music career, she has trained in artistic swimming for 18 years, representing Poland in international competitions, and currently combines her passions as a trainer and choreographer in this field.

Tomasz Marut

Pianist

Born in 1996, a talented pianist and doctor of musical arts, who graduated with distinction from the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław, under the supervision of prof. Paweł Zawadzki. He is the first doctor of arts in the history of the Wrocław Academy of Music, whose doctoral thesis entitled "The Piano Works of Lowell Liebermann" was distinguished. Since 2023, he has been teaching a piano class at his alma mater.

As a laureate of many prestigious competitions, such as the International Piano Competition "Arthur Rubinstein in Memoriam" in Bydgoszcz, Concours International de Piano "Ville de Gagny" in France, and the National F. Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw. In 2021, he represented Poland at the 18th International Chopin Competition in Warsaw

For his achievements he has received numerous scholarships, including the Scholarship of the Minister of Culture and National Heritage twice and the Scholarship of the President of Wrocław six times. He regularly gives concerts in Poland and abroad, performing at international festivals and collaborating with outstanding conductors such as Marek Pijarowski and Mario Venzago

His discography includes albums with compositions by Fryderyk Chopin, Ferenc Liszt and Franz Schubert, and his recordings have been broadcast on Polish Radio Programme 2

kATARZYNA sCHULZ

Violinist

Katarzyna Schulz, born in 2000 in Leszno, is a talented violinist who began her musical education at the age of 6. She graduated with distinction from the Karol Szymanowski Secondary Music School in Wrocław, and then completed her bachelor's and master's studies at the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music under the supervision of prof. Bartosz Bryła.

Katarzyna has won numerous awards from international and national competitions, including distinctions at the OPUS International Competition, the Royal Maas Competition and the 1st CON CORDE Competition. She has been a concertmaster of many orchestras, including the AMKL Academic Chamber Orchestra.

She is the founder of the "Wroclavia Quartet" and the "Wrocław Piano Trio", with which she has won numerous awards at chamber music competitions. In 2024, she was awarded a scholarship by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage and the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. 

In 2023, she founded the 'Katarzyna Schulz String Orchestra', which was created out of a passion for string music and friendship between its members - students and graduates of the Karol Lipiński Academy of Music in Wrocław. The aim of the group is to promote music and present it live to the local community. The orchestra performs both classical and contemporary pieces, and their concerts, enriched with the participation of soloists, move and inspire a wide audience.
